Family Vacation

My brother and his wife live in Oceanside, California, they have lived there for about four years now and we had yet to go see them until just a few days ago.  It was a visit that has been long overdue. We've seen them several times over the past four years, but it's just different going to visit. We got to see them in their element and I love that! It is just a big sister thing seeing them doing so well and just being proud of all of their accomplishments together! He made Sargeant in just a short three years when it takes most Marines seven years! Needless to say I am so proud and overjoyed that we had this time with them!

Our first stop was a Korean BBQ Restaurant called Oo Kook in Koreatown, Los Angeles.
They had a flat rate all you can eat menu, and they just continue to bring out fresh raw meat you cook right at your table, and unlimited Banchan!!!! Everyone knows how much I love Banchan!!!!!
We went crazy! We had baby octopus, fresh Kobe beef, Bulgogi, and tenjang marinated pork belly! It was  fantastic!!!!!!!!! Harry and Sarah tried baby octopus for the first time!!!
Harry & Sarah
We also visited MCRD, the Marine Corps training base in San Diego. Harry graduated boot camp from here four years ago and he will be training as a drill instructor here starting in April.
This is us in Balboa Park at the Japanese Tea Garden.
Koi Pond

We also visited the botanical garden. It was absolutely lovely!

Here we are before we left for a killer sushi dinner!!!!
It's terrible but I can't even tell you the name of the Sushi place, all I can tell you is that the sushi was freaking phenomenal!!!! It was fresh and plentiful!
The names were creative, and the flavors so delightful. We tried so many!!! There was Firecracker, Sexy, That is Really Hot, Crunch, Popcorn Lobster, Sweet Olivia, and so many others I couldn't even tell you all the names!!!!

We also went to Medieval Times. We drank beer and cheered for our knight, the Black and White Knight. It was  a night to be remembered!!!

No silverware!!!! Just our bare hands!!!! How fun!!!
Yum! Baby Dragon!!
Alas our knight lost! It was the Blue Knight that won!!!
Sisters!
One of our final stops, visiting Temecula's wine country! We went to several different places, but our favorite was Chapin Family Vineyards. Their wine was incredible, it had great personality and flavor.  The gentleman who went through the tasting with us was so knowledgeable about the vineyard, and all the wines they featured, he made the experience so much more incredible!
Our final stop, the beach! I love my family!!!!
Nothing like sharing all of these incredible experiences with my amazing husband! What a lucky girl I am!
